spent most of today writing an essay for politics of the image, a class in college. very hard subject at first, but now that i got the hang of it, i might enjoy it more from now on. the task was to analyse three images/texts in a semiotic way, focusing on roland barthes theory of myth, which how history has imposed itself on something and made it into something considered natural. also had to address the denotative and connotative in the texts. i know this makes no sense, but it does to me. so high-five to myself! i might also change my "the morning hours" series from black and white to colour. undecided, though.
